Career Poster Reflection:
I really like the outcome of my poster. I think the colours look great with each other and compliment the overall piece. I like how the piece makes your eye move all around it. There are different textures which make it look interesting. I like how it all came together and shows my chosen career. I really like the background and how there are little details and colour involved. I do like how the light at the bottom looks like its shining light on my face.
I don’t particularly like how the light at the bottom at the page is sitting there. It looks out of place and doesn’t look like it meshes together with the rest of the page. I would have changed some of the images and made them more complex and blended them in more with the background. I would have also found more images that had to do with my career.
This poster reflects my chosen career which is photography. There are images of photo lens, photos, cameras and photography film. There are special effects on certain pictures such as on the one of me that is in black and white and I made the mit the only thing in colour. These are effects that would be taken place on photos for professional photography. This poster shows some of just the many effects you can accomplish on photos that you would have to do if you were a professional photographer. Photoshop is a tool that photographers use to touch up or fix their photos, adding little details and touches.

Portfolio Reflection
I really like how my portfolio turned out. I like how I carried out my theme throughout the whole summative. I really like the Photoshop in my summative, I think that the images came out crisp and clean, giving a very professional look to my summative. I really like the images and how they mesh together, even though they came from different sources.
Some of the buttons I don’t particularly care for because they are too simple. I would have changed them and made them more complicated and interesting. Instead of just using the pictures as backgrounds, I would have made things change and move to create a button. My about me page I would have made it more complex but not make it busy. I would have added more images of different kinds of fish or whales on my pages to make it look like an ocean.
This represents a professional portfolio because it runs very smoothly and is crisp and clean. The overall piece works well and flows into each other with ease. All the buttons work and every page does what it is suppose to do. This is like a professional portfolio because it creates interests for the reader when images move around and makes you want to look more.

Brainstorm for Portfolio Ideas
1. An idea that I was thinking about was to have my portfolio in the forest. And then have animals, insects and plants moving constantly as well as when you put your mouse over a certain area, it would change. Id have different perspectives when you would push on a button, either a tree, animal, plant, ground or insect. It would be a up close image and I would have to make it change somehow away from the original picture. I would have nature sounds, such as birds singing, moneky making noise, animals running etc.
2. I would do a portfolio in a meadow. Having butterflies and bugs flying throughout the page as well as the sound of birds singing. I would have certain areas move throughout the page> when you put your mouse over certain areas of the picture or certain objects, they would either move or transform into something else. This would be a realistic portfolio and it would all have to make sense. I would put a lot of detail into the images and make them crisp and clean looking.
3. Another idea would be to have the portfolio take place in the bottom of the ocean. I love the water and marine animals so this would be a great way to show off my art. I could make different animals swim by throughout the page. Have bubbles make words when your mouse goes over them. Have a lot of colors from coral as well as marine animals. I could have a fish eat another fish when your mouse goes over it. There could be whales noise, bubbles and splashing sounds throughout the portfolio. When you push on a button, it would take you to a different part of the ocean with a new setting and new animals in that environment.
4.An idea would be that I would do a portfolio based on creativity and design. It would be very creative and would have a lot of details put into it. I would use photos that would not normally go together and make a picture with them. When you would go over certain images they would change or something would happen to them. This portfolio would have a lot of designs that would flow into each other making a very interesting look. There would be sounds that would not normally go together. When you put your mouse over a certain object, it would change or do something art-like and creative. This portfolio would just a combination of interesting designs and pictures put together to make an overall effect. It would have a lot of details and little things when you really look at it.
5. This would be mainly taken place on the beach. There would be palm trees and crabs and sand castles and pretty much anything you thought of when you think of a beach. There would be the sound of the waves hitting as well as wind blowing. Little things would happen when you go over certain objects as well as moving throughout the portfolio.

Discuss Portfolio Assignment
Two portfolios that I like:
http://www.bebopjeans.com/ I really like this portfolio because its very interesting and is very detailed and clean looking. I like how if you really look at it, you see little pictures on pictures and how they are completely different but some how mesh together and give a really cool affect. I love the colors used. They work really well together and give a very flow-happy feel to the overall portfolio. I like how crisp and clean looking the photos are as well as when you put the mouse over a photo it moves and everything is so detailed and polished looking. I like the little details and how when you go over a word something interesting happens to it before it takes you to that certain page. I just like the overall look and how it is all made of doodles and loosely designs.
http://www.tbwahakuhodo.co.jp/ I like this portfolio because it has a lot of unique ideas and methods of moving things around. I like how when you go over certain objects, they change some how or manipulate into something else. I like the details that were put into this and how polished and clean finished it is. I also like the unique settings taken place when you move to another page.
These two portfolio’s both have a lot of details put into them. They also have a lot of different pictures that wouldn’t normally go together, but they work together. They have a very polished and finished look to them which make them very professional.
The inspirations that these two portfolio’s give me are, putting a lot of detail and time into my pictures and how they interact with other photos, making a very clean, polished look. When its finished, having a lot of pictures that don’t normally go together and making them look like they are suppose to be there.

Reflection for World Flag
I like my flag a lot. I am very happy with the outcome of it. I really like the colors presented in it because they are very earthy and brighten up the overall look. I like the lines in it and how they make a nit like look and overlap each other. I like the idea of the hands in a circle around the world and how it is in the middle of the flag showing that is the focal point of the flag. I also like the different sizes of the strips and that they aren’t all the same size, it creates interest.
One thing that I do not particularly care for is how the hands turned out. They look flat but not as flat as I wanted them to be. If I lowed the layers of color it would have looked more flat, but then they didn’t look like hands because there wasn’t enough color and tone to show the different shapes in the hands and arms.
I think my flag is a great representation of World Unity because it shows the world as one and has hands surrounding it showing that many people hold the world together. It has many colors showing the many different people in this world. The colors also show the different seasons that occur which I find interesting. The nit like look shows that we are all connected. I like the idea that the flag is not overly complicated and would be easily drawn by a child who had to do it for a project and re-create it. It is easily recognized because of the colors and shapes it creates and is very different from other world flags.

Brainstorm for One Word Flag
Five Words that make me thing world unity:
1.Togetherness- Hands together creating a circle
2.Peace- warm and cool colours surrounding the worlds outline
3.Teamwork- 3 different people helping hold the world up.
4.Love- a pink glow surrounding the world/people
5.Knowledge- tree
I am going to make a flag with the world in the middle. And then having people hands in a spiral overtop of the image of the world. Then I am going to have three people holding up the world, they will be in warm and cool colours and they will be different types of people in the world. I am going to use earthy colours to show the idea of nature as well as giving a warm loving feeling to the overall piece.

Questions to the Movie
1. What are three things that can make this movie be considered as an art movie?
This movie could be considered as an art movie because:
1. It has unique ideas for the overall effect on the person watching the movie and how they feel afterward
2. It has very different and creative ideas and events taking place in the movie which make it very appealing.
3. It has very interesting and creative settings that show a lot of detail.
2. How is this movie perhaps more creative than most mainstream movies?
This movie is more creative then most mainstream movies because this movie shows so many new ideas that haven’t been seen in other movies. It keeps the viewer interested and it is not predictable, keeps the viewer wondering what is going to happen next. This movie also has a lot of detail that was put into it. The colours, art, creativity, gore, realistic, all have effects on how this movie is portrayed. It has a fantasy theme in the movie which makes the movie able to do anything with imagination creating a different feel for the viewer.
3. Did you like or dislike the movie overall? Please fully explain your opinion.
I did like the movie overall. It kept my interest through the whole thing as well as making me wonder what is going to happen next. I loved how this movie was so detailed. It made everything so realistic and inviting to watch. There were a lot of new ideas that I have never seen before done in a movie. The story line was very intriguing and making me want to watch more. The gore was very hard hitting and at sometime hard to watch. Overall I enjoyed the movie and liked the story as well as the acting.

Media Arts Utopian Invention Design
Step One:
1. I think he invented these inventions to help make everyday living more interesting and helpful. I think he wanted to find unique ways to help society accomplish tasks as well as making it different.
2. I chose the invention of the parachute. I think that this invention had a great impact in society. In todays world we use this invention a lot. We use this parachute for fun by jumping out of planes, we also use this in the military as well as rescue situations. This invention allows people to safely arrive at land from high distances.
Step two:
1. A dome that goes over the head that when under styles your hair according to what occasion your attending and what you choice you want on the panel.
2. Packages that are different foods, such as Macdonald’s, A & W, seafood restaurant and any fast food place around the world. When you put this package into this microwave looking machine it turns this package into the food or beverage indicated on the package.
3. A machine that when hooked up to a persons head, can record their dreams and can tell the message its trying to interpret or the meaning of the dream. You can relive your dreams by simply choosing your desire dream on the panel and it will play when you are at a certain level of sleep. The machine can also track your dreams and find a connection between them. You can also create your own dreams, by choosing what you want to happen as well as the setting, people, objects etc. that you wish to experience in your dream.

Reflection for Bedroom
What do you like most about this piece?
I like the effect of the whole piece. It looks really cool with all the different sizes of pictures making one big picture. I like how it turned out and am very happy with it. I like how if you really look at it you can see more details in the picture and how things/objects come together in an interesting way. I like the colours and how everything comes together to make this effect of multiple pictures
If you were to change anything in this piece what would it be?
If I was to change something about this piece I would have taken more pictures of the floor and on different angles and closeups. I would also take more pictures far away and more really close up of either textures or different colours to make the piece more interesting. I would also has a lot more layers to make it look more complicated.
What do you dislike most about this piece?
The only thing that I dislike about this piece is the floor. I should have taken more pictures and from different angles to make it look more appealing and complicated.

Barbara Kruger Refection
What do you see in this piece of art (describe it)?
In this piece of art I see, leading on, desire, wanting, hurt and love. In this art I see that the women is the one leading on the man. Her look and expression on her face shows that she has something up her sleeve.
What kind of message did you try to give in this piece of art?
The kind of message that I tried to give in this piece of art is the idea of leading someone on. The women in this picture looks to have a hard expression on her face. She looks to be holding something back or holding a secret. The man looks like he really loves this women, but I wanted to give the idea that this women is leading him on for her own pleasure. This tends to happen in society, where people enjoy seeing other people hurt.
Do you like or dislike this piece of art? Why?
I like parts of this piece of art. For some reason it just doesn’t look like it flows together like the other Barbara Kruger pieces do. I put red as the background so it would work with the letters, but then it had too much red, so I tried with black to blend in with the actually picture. But then it had to much black. So I tried to balance the red, but still make it pop while having the black and white in it as well. Overall I like it. When I did a lot to the piece it took away from my message so I made it more simpler and focus on the message.

Questions for Barbara Kruger
What do you see in this piece of art (describe it)?
I see a pin and its up against someones fingers. Having the words, "thinking of you" on the poster.
What kind of message is the artist giving in this piece of art?
The artist is giving the message that either in general or a specific person hurts themselfs because of a person.
Do you like or dislike Kruger’s work? Why?
I don’t mind Kruger’s work. Some of it is a bit disturbing, such as the needle about to go into a persons finger. But other then that, her work is interesting and gives a direct message to the viewer. The colors, red, black and while really make the work stand out and make it loud and grabs your attention, but still gets the message across to the viewer. Some of the work is hard to understand the message behind it along with the images present.

Reflection for Animated Painting Assignment
What do I like most about my animation?
I like the actions I made my painting do. It makes your eyes look around the painting, up and down and side to side because my actions aren’t all in one spot. I like how the pear flips while jumping off the table, rather then just jumping off. It makes it interesting to watch. I also like the idea of the knife stabbing the pear. I was at first going to have the orange fruit jump on top of the basket, but I thought it would be more interesting if the orange fruit rolled off the table.
What do I like least about my animation?
The photoshoping hands down is what I like least about my animation. The layers kinda got messed up and when I used the tool to paint over something it took different colours from other parts of the painting to where I was working. Then I had to do it in little pieces and had a hard time making it all one colour. Instead it cut piece of the painting out and I had to attempt to go over it and make it look half decent.
What kind of ideas or emotions would a viewer see while looking at my animation?
While looking at my animation a viewer might see the idea of playfulness, happiness, joy, and fun. This could all be contributed to a child. The actions I choose for the animation are very play like (rolling, flipping, jumping) which is behaviour children do when they play with toys, they make them jump and roll. This animation is almost like a child decided to destroy the painting. Taking the knife and stabbing it into the pear, taking the orange fruit and pushing it off the table, and taking the pear and pretended to make it do a flip in the air while it falls off the table. The idea of fun can also be presented because of the playing around with the different fruits.

Brainstorming for Culture Jammer
What does this image protray?
This image shows a very skinny women on a cover of a magazine.
Who is this image directed to?
This image is directed at women, young women and girls.
What is the message in the image towards its audience?
This image shows what you shouldn’t look like. But women are going to feel they have to look
like this women in order to look beautiful and attractive.
For my culture jammer, I am going to put bones on the women’s body to make it look like her own bones sticking out. My slogan is going to be "bones is the new skinny". I will use different filters on the bones and make the opacity low so that it blends in with the women’s skin. I will burn and dodge the image bringing out the darks and lights in the overall piece.
